Dr. Basu Ray is a renowned Indian American Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiologist, and the Founder and Chairman of the American Academy for Yoga in Medicine. His research and accomplishments in bringing the spiritual practice of Yoga into the world of cardiology has been published in such publications such as the Times of India, Daily O, Huffington Post, and Science India Magazine.
Dr. Basu Ray has taught meditation to hundreds of interested people all over the world. He was also one of the Cardiologists who wrote down the practice guidelines for the American Heart Association. He is invited to talk about the science and the art of meditation from all over the world.
Dr. Basu Ray's pioneering and ground-breaking book, The Principles and Practice of Yoga in Cardiovascular Medicine, received praise from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Dr. Basu Ray is the Director of Cardiovascular Research & Chairman for the Interdepartmental Committee for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation at the Memphis VA Medical Center, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He has been practicing meditation as one of the 8 limbs of yoga since a young child.

With a dedicated meditation room, eco-luxury accents, and surrounded by the Shasta Trinity Forest, your mountain retreat couldn't be any more perfectly designed for the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation.
Retreat program starts with group networking and arrival window starting at 4PM for check-in, followed by dinner and welcome ceremony.
This full-day immersive and experiential program of deep diving into the yogic practices as taught by Dr. Basu Ray.
Afternoon includes a gorgeous group hike on a local, iconic trail for added mindfulness and integration time in nature. Guests will enjoy group dinner and evening activity, stargazing, and fellowship time.
Final morning will commence with an early morning meditation, discourse, and breakfast.
Guests may check-out by 10 AM.
Due to our financial obligations to our venue and vendors, no refunds for any package will be given if cancelled within 60 days of retreat.
If packages are sold out, a waiting list will be created and available seats will be offered to the waiting list before seat is made available to the public.
If we are able to fill your seat, you will receive a full refund of your package minus a $75 admin fee to cover processing fees. If we cannot fill your seat and no refund is available, 50% of retreat package can be credited toward a future retreat with Dr. Basu Ray within 2 years.
We reserve the right to cancel the retreat in the unlikely event of a local or medical emergency (if we do so, your payment is refunded in full).
Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. By registering for this retreat, you understand and accept our Terms and Conditions.
Additionally, there is no nudity, drugs, alcohol, or pets allowed at any of the retreat venues.
